Pragmatic Magic

Chaos Magick has often been called "result based" magic. It has also often failed to live up to this, and much of its history has a firm focus on things that are not practical nor rooted in utility. This talk will focus on what may be some useful avenues for approaching magic to get practical results, pulling ideas from American Pragmatism, Phenomenology and some less discussed ideas from the greater occult tradition.

Presented By: s.m. Kennedy

Rituals of Emanant Void Magick

Ritual practice informed by the system of Emanant Void Magick, jumping right into practical application of the numeric vocalizations and how the narrative ontology translates into casting in three-dimensional ritual space.

Sigilized Sin-Eating (A Competitive Ritual)

Yara will lead a presentation that begins with a brief history of the practice of sin-eating and internal alchemy. After this, the attendees will be taught the basics of the Russian card game дурак. Participants will then compete against each other to determine who will be the day's "sin-eater" and alchemically convert undesired elements into a net positive.

Presented By: Yaramarud

Surrealism and Magick

From its origin in 1920s France to its utilization in art throughout the world, Yara will discuss the inception, principles, and development of surrealism from its pre-Dadaist origins and its ties with spiritualism and the occult. Examples of this art movement’s early beginnings as a literary conjuration will be shared before moving on to practical applications for what Yara has termed “applied dreaming”.

Presented By: Yaramarud

Surrealist Sigil Working

Inspired by surrealism and existentialism this ritual inverts the normal formula of sigil magick by creating the sigil using automatic processes that engage the unconscious.

Toasting and Cursing

A ritual game of randomized toasting and cursing. Each take turns drawing cards naming some random thing, person, or concept and offering a toast to whatever it says. All present either drink to it or discard the now cursed beverage into the curse bucket. At the end participants add additional targets to curse and toss them in the foul brew.

Toxick Magick

Siddhartha Wetzel will begin this lecture with a brief overview of his most recent book, Ill Thoughts, Ill Words, Ill Deeds: A Toxick Magick Primer: Vol 1. In this book, Siddhartha recognizes that our world is ruled by amoral psychopathy, in utter disregard of the environment and the populace, and provides the reader with tools to begin the counter-assault. Siddhartha will finish the lecture with an outline on the further tactics and strategies that will be presented in Throwing Rocks at God: Toxick Magick Vol. 2.

Presented By: Siddhartha Wetzel

Xtremme Cut-Ups
