Barter Opportunities

Great news! Operation Octarine offers barter opportunities to those who wish to provide a service to the event that will reduce your entry fee. That means you can attend for less so long as you don’t mind getting your hands a little dirty!

If you are interested in a barter position, do NOT submit a regular Registration form!

Barter pricing is based on shift number signed up for and scheduled prior to the festival.  All barters must be prepaid. Upon acceptance of your Barter Agreement with our event staff, you will be provided with a special Barter Registration link.

General Barters:

General Barters include Setup, Tear Down, and other miscellaneous tasks that will be communicated closer to the event date. General Barter shifts usually run 4-6 hours or equivalent work tasks/responsibilities.  

Safety Barters:

Safety Barters include First Aid and Security positions. These positions may require longer hours depending on event needs and may qualify you to have your attendance covered in full.

*We will require to have all potential Safety Barters show proof that they are at very least CPR certified. If you are particularly qualified for a certain Safety Barter position, please note your experience and qualifications in the Message field of the application form.

We will need to know your expected availability and attendance dates.

** Please note that you cannot volunteer anyone but yourself for a barter position! If you know someone who is also interested in helping out, please direct them to submit their own application.

If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer responsibilities, you will be expected to pay the amount that had been discounted from your registration. This must be handled before you are able to register or volunteer for future events at Midian or with Operation Octarine.
